Kailash Manasarovar Map
With a great mass of black rock soaring to over 22,000 feet, Mount Kailash has the unique distinction of being the world's most venerated holy place at the same time that it is the least visited. Trekking around the mountain is the popular activities because this is believed by pilgrims of several religions to be a holy ritual that will bring good fortune. Every year pilgrims from mainland China, India and Nepal come to pay their homage and circumambulate the holy mountain.
Lying 20km southeast of Mt. Kailash and north to Namnani Peak, Lake Manasarovar is the highest freshwater lake in the world, with an altitude of 4,588m and an area of 412 square kilometers.
