About:Tibet Private Tour
Hi there, we are going to take your 8 Days Lhasa Everest and Kathmandu overland tour, and here are my three questions for crossing over the border to Nepal: 1.) what time does the border open? 2.) can you help us arrange a private transfer waiting for us there? 3.) is it possible for us to get to Kathmandu airport to catch a late afternoon flight?

Hi Don, 1.) The border opens at 10:00am Chinese time which is 07:45am Nepal time; and usually there was a large queue and it took more than an hour to get to the Nepal side. It needs another half hour to get visa stamped in Nepal. 2.) Yes, we can help you hire a driver and vehicle waiting for you prior in Nepal side. 3.) It is risky to catch up an afternoon flight in Kathmandu for the same day, as the road condition in many parts is not so good, even though it is only 125 km to Kathmandu. it would take more than expected, so if you have time then we would suggest you to book the flight next day.
