Hi, do we have to go through a travel agent to get the permit? If so, how much does the permit cost? Thank you!

Yes, you have to join in a group tour or book a private trip to get the permits through a travel agent, as the permit is only obtainable by authorized travel company, not individuals. The travel permit is free of cost, but you need to book a tour with travel company to get the permit, and we can't offer the only-permit booking service.
