Hi Mendoza, tour Tibet in winter is a good choice - cheap and not crowded. Sunshine is sufficient of daytime, and indeed, it's much warmer than most of other China cities. There are two inadequacies to tour Tibet in winter: 1.) most of hotels will close in winter, so you may have not too many choices but most of the high-rated ones are open for business as usual. No worry about that. 2.) You may not be able to visit the EBC. EBC will be closed if there is the heavy snow. It is not sure if you can visit it or not. You can visit EBC with a pretty good weather and traffic all the way is well-off in winter if the weather is great.
