Hi, I'm going to overland from Kathmandu to Lhasa. Is it doable to go to Lijiang Yunnan by land from Lhasa?

Hi Roya, we don't suggest you travel to Shangrila or Lijiang by land from Lhasa, as the overland passes through Chamdo prefecture in TAR and the permit is bit difficult and complicated. Besides, you have no idea how much it would cost. So in our opinions, you can go to Shangrila by non-stop flight, and it is more feasible to see the rest of the destinations of Yunnan by land.
