Tibet Travel Permits
Tibet Travel Permits are the must-have documents required for your tour Tibet in addition to Chinese Visa. The permits vary according to the places that travelers plan to visit, and are issued by different Tibet authority bureaus. They are Tibet Tourism Bureau Permit ( TTB permit ), Alien's Travel Permit ( PSB permit ), Military Permit and Frontier Pass.
Chinese Visa
Every one should have a valid passport with minimum 6 months validity and Chinese Visa to travel into China, and Chinese Visa is also valid in Tibet. It is better to apply for your Chinese Visa through a Chinese Embassy in your home country or in a third country. The costs and the length of time to process a visa vary in different countries.
If you plan to enter Tibet from mainland China, do not list Tibet as a travel destination when you filling the China Visa Application Form. Please read more about Chinese Visa.
Enter Tibet from Nepal
If you enter Tibet from Nepal, you need to apply for a new China Visa ( Tibet Group Visa ) at the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, whether you already have a China Visa or not. You can't apply it directly and you should entrust a local Nepal travel agency to apply for it. This kind of visa is usually valid for 15 or 20 days.

High Altitude Sickness
High Altitude Sickness, also known as Acute Mountain Sickness ( AMS ), occurs in destinations at high above sea level and is a natural reaction by the body as it attempts to acclimate itself to the high altitudes, pressure differences, lack of oxygen, dry atmosphere and other changes.
Almost all travelers coming to Tibet are affected by the high altitude sickness in different degrees. We suggest that it is wise to have a body check-up and get your doctor's advice before visiting Tibet.

Etiquettes and Taboos
Tibetan people have unique cultures and strong religious beliefs. Though they are friendly and easy to get along with, they have different ways of behaving in many aspects. Tibetan Meals
In order to provide you the maximum flexibility of what, where and when to eat, we generally do not include meals in the tour cost, except breakfast included at the hotels, however, our local guide will suggest you good local restaurant under your requirements.
In the cities like Lhasa, Tsedang, Gyantse, Shigatse and Zhangmu, you can find good restaurants serve wide range of Tibetan food, continental food, Nepalese food, Indian food and Chinese cuisine, but in Tingri, EBC and in remote places, there is a limited choice for noodles and pan cakes. The cost of a meal in Tibet is about USD3 - USD10 per person per meal, depending on your individual requirement.

How to get to Tibet?
By train
We all know that there is the highest railway of the world: Qinghai-Tibet Railway, which is the only railway linking Tibet and other cities in China. Currently, there is train service from Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xining, and Chongqing, utilizing the Qinghai-Tibet Railway line to Lhasa.
By flight
For foreign visitors coming to Tibet, flying to Lhasa is an ideal way which will take less time. Now, you can take direct flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xining, Shangri-La and Chongqing in China and Kathmandu in Nepal.
