” After many military checkpoints, and well paved road driving, we finally reached Zhada, a relatively low altitude town in the whole of Ngari region. The entracnce fee was expensive but worth every cent of it (the ticket is about 200RMB). We engaged a guide to explain to us the history of the palaces. Then we trek up to the top of the hill, where the palace is. Narrow passages at some sections, only allow one person to pass through at times, no wonder the army from ladakh found it so hard to capture the palace. The caves which used to be the dwellings of the monks, the nobles, the royalties are still intact.
